Parla is operated by Innovation Anywhere OÜ. By downloading, installing, or using Parla, you agree to these terms.
License
Parla is licensed, not sold. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Parla on Macs you own or control, for as long as your subscription remains active.
Subscription and cancellation
Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. You may cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the current billing period. At the end of that period, your license to use Parla ends and the app will stop operating. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
Third-party services
Parla relies on third-party services to provide its core functionality:
- Groq — provides the speech-to-text transcription service. Audio you record while using Parla is sent to Groq for processing.
- OpenAI — provides AI-powered text cleanup (punctuation, capitalization, filler word removal). Transcripts may be sent to OpenAI for post-processing.
These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or data handling practices of third-party providers. If a third-party service becomes unavailable, Parla functionality may be affected.
Acceptable use
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, or resell the Parla application or any part of it. You may not share your license, use the software on behalf of other people or organizations, or use the software to violate any applicable law.
Disclaimer of warranties
Parla is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that transcriptions will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Innovation Anywhere OÜ and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of or inability to use Parla. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced at parla-whisper.com with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of Parla after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Innovation Anywhere OÜ is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
